Abstract: Introduction: Pre-patellar bursitis usually present as a small painful swelling resulting from traumatic, inflammatory, or infectious condition. It may rarely present as a huge chronic swelling. We present an unusually huge pre-patella bursa in an amputated below the knee patient.Case Report: A 60-year-old female patient presented with a chronic left anterior knee swelling 2 years earlier. The patient had left below knee amputation following left leg crush injury 40 years ago, following that, patient often combines crawling for mobilisation. The swelling progressively enlarged and was painless, fluctuant and measured 12cm x 7cm x 5cm. The swelling was excised and the histology confirmed benign lesion characteristics of chronic bursitis. Postoperatively, there was no recurrence. Conclusion: Huge Pre-patella bursa in a limb with below knee amputation occurs rarely. The treatment option is excisional biopsy with good postoperative outcome.
